So many people are Angry at Google with the Latest Penguin and Panda update and so that’s why i am posting this video that will diminish your frustration ;)

Note: Don’t follow this video advice ;) instead use this 5 Smart SEO Strategies.

Enjoy!

Penguin update is now the new most talked about topic on the SEO circles and everybody seem to have lost track of how to optimize their sites to rank in the search engines.

I will show you 5 SEO Smart Ways to optimize your sites to rank #1 with this Penguin Analysis.

Basically the over optimization penalty it’s very real and the things you need to do in this New “SEO” World it’s not to use a money anchor text over and over again.

This is not natural and leads to the creation of spam tactics in the eyes of Google. So now Google forces you to create content and link sites in a natural way and not targeting just a specific “money keyword” you want to rank for.

A great way to create content that will get your Authority Sites ranking are Guest Blogging and Content Curation because you are sharing great content from other blogs and you can leverage the audience of other people to promote your sites. So apply this 5 Smart Ways to Optimize your sites

Method #1: Create Microsites

What are those? Besides being important enough to SEO that we decided to use that as one of the words in our company name, they have been a great way to rank sites in the past, and continue to be even after this update. Microsites are small(ish) topic-focused sites that provide useful content relative to your niche, and make sure to cite your main site as a primary source. Google wants the Internet to be filled with sites that provides users what they are looking for, and give authority to sites that are relevant to what the user is looking for. By creating smaller sites of “higher quality”, you get to expand your presence in your niche, and use that expanded visibility and send relevant and authoritative positive ranking signals towards your main site.

Method #2: High Quality Blog Networks

This might be the most “black hat” solution, but it’s still affective. Recently ALN and BMR have proven that low quality networks which seemed to good to be true, are too good to be true.

It’s no longer enough to have private networks with small amounts of content, anchor text that is poorly placed within the context of the article, no (or very little) accountability in the area of content quality, and other gaping network-wide footprints and general low quality attributes.

A completely internalized niche blog network (which in reality is really a group of microsites) is as effective as it ever was and generally more selective than large public blog networks to ensure proper quality control and avoid footprints. More on that later!

Method #3: Diversify Anchor Text

If you are building links yourself, you have probably reached a decision where you could spend X (whether in time or dollars) with the anchor text of “a term I want to rank for” or “a term that appears naturally but I’m not trying to rank for”. Although you are consciously aware that you need a natural mix of both, each time an SEO’er is faced with that decision they tend to usually pick the first option because, well… it’s no fun to spend time and money building links that will probably not directly help you rank! Stop doing that and make sure that over 50% of your links contain anchor text that isn’t a keyword you are trying to rank for.

What anchor text should you be using? From the data we’ve evaluated, “MySiteDomain.com”, “MySiteDomain”, “http://mysitedomain.com”, “http://www.mysitedomain.com”, “The Title of My Website”, “here”, and “the title of one of my H1′s (that isn’t a keyword I’m trying to rank for)”, were generally used as anchors on sites that were not affected by the most recent Google update and are probably a good starting point to consider using moving forward.

Method #4: Play Google’s Game

Get completely legitimate whitehat links! All of the previous points are ways to emulate a “natural” backlink profile. Meaning, ways to make your site look like it’s whitehat, despite possibly taking some shortcuts. The other (often forgotten) thing you can do, is actually use whitehat strategies!

Write legitimate guest posts on niche sites, find ways to get media coverage (HARO is probably one of the easiest ways to find news stories related to your niche). Last, as we’ve talked about before, viral marketing not only provides lots of visitors, but a ton of legitimate link power.

Method #5: Run Your SEO Sites Like a Real Business

One of the biggest things I noticed when pouring through our massive amounts of data is that sites that portrayed themselves as a “business” fared a lot better than sites which viewed themselves as a way to obtain and leverage traffic from Google in order to monetize.

What does this mean? A lot of things, but one of them is to look at other traffic sources besides Google. Not only will that make you less reliant on Google, and their seemingly fickle SERP shuffles, but those other traffic sources will almost certainly indirectly help your site rank better on Google.

So What is your Experience with Penguin?

Share your experience below and what are you doing to recover your lost rankings?

Thanks!

In this great interview by Yaro Starak you can learn a lot of lessons you can implement to your business today and get inspired by these stories that are truly amazing.

These stories are all about the true entrepreneurial spirit and making it online in your first chance, but with hard work and dedication in a niche that there’s money to be spent, in this case advertisers willing to pay him $10,000 dollars and all of this while being on school.

In this interview Matt takes us back to the very beginning of his online success story, starting with his first website created when he was just 15 years old. Matt found himself on the phone closing $10,000 advertising deals in between classes at school, earning enough to buy himself a new BMW with cash by the time he was just 16.

Matt Mickiewicz tells his story about how he started online with the Sitepoint Forums that grew big enough to have the leading online marketplace for selling and buying websites and it’s now known as Flippa.

Later on seeing a need in the marketplace he created 99Designs. As you can see this new venture it’s in the same niche as Sitepoint (Web Development) and you can leverage your Authority Platform to promote your other ventures (Flippa, 99Designs). You need to focus your efforts on only one niche like Matt did to grow big.

Even other freelancer sites have copied what 99Designs have done with their crowdsourcing design contest to give you logo options to choose from.

Yaro and Matt talk about the importance of having a subscriber list and Matt built a Newsletter that started out with 200 people and now it’s over 1,000,000 people!

YARO: In my community in the internet marketing world having a subscribers list it has been always considered the most important aspect of having an online business and not everyone actually do that if you are not told to do it, but you just added one. It that was conscious or…

Matt: It’s been incredible, incredible valuable and it’s probably one of our most valuable assets and it’s growing tremendously going out in the beginning to 200 people and now it’s over 1,000,000 people…

And in Matt words having a subscribers list it’s awesome!

List Building Tips from a 1 Million Subscriber Owner

YARO:Since we are in the topic if you were speaking to a person starting in this game what would be the #1 or #2 things you suggest they do for list building how do you get so many people in a list?

Matt:…Offer something of value in return, an ebook, discount, report, white paper, what have you…

I talk in this blog post about How to Create & Sell Authority Websites for BIG Payouts and now i am going to show you another cool way to build Authority Websites.

It’s called the The “Blood Hound” Model. Vishen Lakhiani explained his step-by-step process in creating one of his highly lucrative websites by showing his formula.

Learn Remote Viewing

I first saw this video via Peter Spaepen in his Mindshift Scenario Press Site

Becoming the “conduit” in your market is oftentimes an excellent way to make a big entree without having to kill yourself with content creation.

A smart mix of curation and understanding very well where to go look for your target audience, then becoming the “bridge person” (conduit) between an expert in the field and your audience.

This model is super-sweet and hyper-effective.

Don’t make the mistake thinking this model is too simple to actually work.

(Mindvalley recently decided to open-source their entire business. Visit Mindvalley Insights for more information.)

Then i saw an excelent example of content curation on Steven Resell’s blog about the “Blood Hound” Model

Vishen Lakhiani generated $930,000.00 in 18 months from one blog… from scratch!

Steven took all the information on the video and made a very good list of things to do and replicate Vishen Success. I like this way of creating content because you are naturally sharing valuable stuff and also linking naturally to other sites and that’s what google wants. To give value to your “Tribe”.

Follow these steps and build an authority website!

The Steps To Building Authority Websites

In order to build his Remote Viewing blog, he completed the following steps:

Step 1. Setup your blog

He reocmmends you use WordPress, and make sure you choose a decent looking theme.

Vishen recommends the Canvas theme by WooThemes, which incidentally is the same theme I use on many of my sites.

You can read my review of the Canvas theme here.

Step 2. Produce Content

As you already know, you don’t need to “write” your own content to become the expert or dominate your niche, and Vishen recommends the same thing…

He suggests that instead of “writing your own content”, you REVIEW other people’s content online

In other words, search the internet for articles on the topic, get permission from the article author to use the content on your site – then write an ORIGINAL introduction. (I personally don’t curate in this fashion but it worked awesome for him).

Another thing he would do is to post a video from Youtube with an intro and add a comment request at the bottom of the post.

I know… really simple stuff that doesn’t take much effort.

One thing he mentions in the video is that he created about 100 blog posts in short order to his blog and kept adding more content as time went on, and he outsourced all content creation after month 6 (to eLance).

Step 3. Get Leads

Build a list.

It’s essential to your business online.

To do this, he just used a generic aweber form for his blog…

An interesting tidbit was that he added a “Coming Soon” invitation, i.e. an invite to sign up to his list to get access to an upcoming free course in the beginning stages of his blog (since he didn’t have any of that setup at first).

His signup rate for the “coming soon” invite was 37%!

As for what he emailed his subscribers… well, he just sent them back to some of the hottest blog posts a couple of times per week.

And within a 6 month period of time he had created a list of 5,000 people (just from organic traffic).

Step 4. Monetize

He didn’t monetize his blog for 6 months… and when he finally decided to monetize he decided to become an affiliate of the various products already available in the marketplace.

He then interviewed the top experts in the niche and put calls to action in the interview to buy their product.

In his his very first interview he generated over $10,000 in sales; and by his second interview, he generated over $110,000! (from his small list of 5,000 subscribers).

Why did this work?

Because he had built trust and authority.

People prefer to have someone else tell them what to buy, IF it is a recommendation from a trusted source which Vishen became over a 6 month period of sending out good quality information.

He calls this the “Robert Ebert Effect” (Robert Ebert is a film critic… in case you don’t know who he is).

Not only did he become the trusted source of information for his readers, but he also became the “star maker” of the niche (and the #1 affiliate).

When i saw this video my content creation focus changed and i was sold, and as you have seen i have been creating this kind of content. You can implement this right away because it works!

What do you think about this? Do you have concerns of duplicate content penalty? Comment below!

Enjoy.

Andre Chaperon TLB

I am going to do something “Unheard Of” so keep on reading…

I have talked about Autoresponder Madness in that review and have done another page about this awesome course (Autoresponder Madness)

The creator is Andre Chaperon and i highly respect this marketer because it’s different from everybody else and he likes it that way. He does this on purpose and he rejects the status quo.

Giving value upfront without the need of an Optin Form (Squeeze Page) it’s a great way to show you what Andre it’s all about. I know you will love all of this as much as i did and he shows he actually cares about his customers ( who knew that was the key! :) ).

Before i tell you about Tiny Little Businesses Check out this AWESOME Content:

  1. Frank VS Matt
  2. Tiny Little Businesses MANIFESTO

To show you proof that Andre it’s an ethical marketer and his stuff actually works i will share with you this story.

I wanted to promote Tiny Little Businesses to my “Tribe” because i know this is the real, REAL DEAL ;)

And asked Andre if i could promote TLB.

I have not seen TLB myself and before i sent the email to Andre i was thinking of Joining to get a Glimpse about TLB and what all those Rave Reviews were all About

And actually TLB affilite program it’s a closed program to look at the quality of partners they get. You need to get “whitelisted” to give them money :)

So this was Andre’s Response:

And he is rigth and that’s solid proof that Andre looks for the benefit of his “Tribe”.

I don’t want to get into TLB because i am full on my plate with projects i need to FOCUS on. Remember  the Story of Frank VS Matt?

But if you want to Create Long Term Tiny Little Businesses Doing Real Affiliate Marketing then you need to check out TLB.

I don’t get a comission because i am not whitelisted but i want you to get the benefit of this course that will teach you how to create a business instead of just buying the latest WSO or other program that is just not getting you on the rigth track to just focus on a Business Model that will give you money for the long run.

TLB will teach you about the mindset and doing things rigth. Like creating customer avatars or “Personas” like in the Frank VS Matt Example.

When you try to reach everybody, you reach nobody

Those Actually are personas or Customer Avatars on the Internet Marketing Niche and you do this to focus your marketing message to only one person and not a whole room filled of very different personalities.

You need to focus to just your ideal customer profile in this case a “Frank” and a “Matt”.

I choose to be a “Matt” and you need to switch gears and become a Strategic Thinker. You will learn all that from Andre Chaperon and Steve Grey the creators of Tiny Little Businesses.

I am now whitelisted as an TLB Affiliate (i earn a commission) and i want to give you a bonus if you buy through my link. Remember that i told you i am busy with some “Secret Affiliate Projects” and that’s why i didn’t have the time to join TLB and check it out for this review?

Well i am going to show you my sites. Since the beginning of this year i have earned €515 Euros from just one site using the method that fits very well with what Andre and Steve are teaching in TLB.

I am in the process of setting up 6 Tiny Little Businesses and one have earned me €515 Euros!

I will share with you all of this once you are on month 3 because i don’t want to distract your from your Core Business Training Andre and Steve are going to teach you.

TLB Last Chance (My Business, The iPhone Apps Story)

The other day i was reading an email that i
received from Andre Chaperon and
the title of the email was “[TLB] Sell to the
crazy ones (the weirdos)” and he was
actually talking about a story of himself and
that he is a “weird” customer buying
all the golf club, putters, golf bags and more.
(I will share his email with you at the end)

But the reason of this email is because this
email made me reflect back to when i started this
business on the internet.

I started on 2005 with $200 dollars my father
loaned me to get a hosting account and a domain.
Then
i had a site with no traffic and one thing let to
the other and i landed on a long sales page and
bought
the $97 dollar course and the rest is history.

Then in 2008 i was doing this online business
thing full time and started building my list or
my “Tribe” of followers.

And Guess What?

it worked!

But i started counting and that’s when it hit me!

2005 to 2012 = 8 years of hard work!

Actually i invest a lot of the money back to the
business and when i started
treating this as a business in (2008) the income
started to show up in return.

And the businesses that give me money are
actually built with the Tiny Little Businesses
principles.

Building a long-term site that provide value to
the market you are in.

Do you want to take the long route or have a
short cut?

Take the “Short Cut” and TLB it’s that.

You learn the Right Business Core foundations
from the start and actually you get the right
mindset you need to make it online. Then you
start implementing the things you need in order
to setup your First Tiny Little Business and
doing it as an Affiliate.

Once you can do this as an Affiliate and Earn
Real Money that can get you out of your job.
Later you can get one Level Up and be a Info
Product Marketer.

But you have the foundation of what you need and
not fall into the “Frank” Mentality that you need
another secret to Finally make it online.

You don’t need all that stuff.

You have a business model and you add pieces that
brings value to your business and don’t jump to
other “Opportunities” when you see one.

Be a “Matt”

Not because it’s just the internet you can be
able to NOT work and just push a button and start
earning $500 dollars a month.

You need to do something and that something is
going to make you $500 per month if you follow
what Andre and Steve will teach you on TLB (I
don’t know your skill level so results not
typical i am not making any income claims ;) )

An internet business It’s just like a brick and
mortar business you need to WORK. This doesn’t
sound sexy and that’s why all the people buy into
hype because it’s easy but in the long run it is
painful to see too many people being a “Frank”

It’s like the Famous Angry Bird and Draw
Something Stroy (iPhone Apps)

Long story short both companies where in the
brink of bankruptcy and then they created these
“Magical” apps
and Angry Brids went on to earn in an “over night
push button riches” $10 million dollars in a year
on the App store.

And Draw Something an iPhone App acquired for
$170 million dollars by Zynga Creators of Farm
Ville and many other hit games. All of this after
3 weeks on the Apple App Store and earning 100K
dollars per day and a 30 million user base.

When we see a successful story like this
everybody thinks it’s easy and anyone can do it.
It can be done very easily on the internet.

But…

Both ROVIO (Angry Birds) and OMGPOP (Draw
Something) have created a lot of other games and
they were NOT having success and they were on the
brink of depleting their funding and going out of
business.

They sticked to it and one app made them the big
bucks but after hard work and long term mindset
and planning.

It’s the same with TLB maybe the first it’s not a
hit, but the next one will be your home run ;)

P.S. I will leave you with the Email Andre Sent me

[TLB] Sell to the crazy ones (the weirdos)

———————————————
I’m emailing you because you added yourself
to our ‘Tiny Little Businesses’ waiting list.
———————————————

Hey, it’s Andre here…

This morning I went to meet a buddy for breakfast
at 10:30am.

I chose that time strategically. Because I had an
ulterior motive.

Muahahaha!

You see, here in Spain the shops open at 10am. So
meeting Mark at 10:30 gave me 25 minutes, more or
less.

Perfect for my little detour to the golf shop.

The night before I went to a review site. And I
read just three review comments.

> Just upgraded from original R11. This
> club is even easier to hit with bigger
> head and more adjustability.
> I am now getting great trajectory and
> carry with another 10 yards distance.
> In a word, brilliant!

That was it. That’s all I needed to read.

Took no more than 5 minutes in total.

So this morning I rolled into the pro shop.
Went directly to the TaylorMade rack, and
picked up the new R11S.

Went to the till, and paid.

399 euros later and one minute early, I was at
the breakfast bar waiting for Mark.

If that’s all that happened, well I guess that
wouldn’t have been all that odd.

But exactly 6 days earlier (last Saturday), I
picked up a brand new golf bag.

147 euros.

And three weeks earlier … a 60 degree Titleist
Vokey SM4 wedge.

120 euros.

And the month before that, a TaylorMade RocketBallz
fairway wood.

Another 150 euros.

Two weeks prior to that, the RocketBallz 4 hybrid.

130 euros.

And although the timeline is now getting a little
fuzzy for me, there was also a new Odyssey White
Ice Two-Ball putter.

Well … because my other Odyssey blade putter
wasn’t performing for me.

Which, of course, was the putter’s fault. Not mine.

Crazy right?

Not even close.

I’ve been going to our local David Leadbetter Golf
Academy to get lessons once a week.

The real crazy part … I’m a 28 handicapper. Which
is the worse handicap for a male.

In other words … I’m basically shit.

But each week I tell myself an internal story.
That in order to improve, and lower my handicap,
I need the best equipment.

So the crazy cycle never ends.

I currently have 13 clubs in my bag. Meaning
there is place for ONE MORE club.

So now I’m on constant lookout to see what
I can get to max out what I’m allowed to use.

Who’s the weirdo in this scenario – me?

You’re damn right!

Yet to swing these expensive clubs about, I
need to play golf, of course.

And here in Spain green fees start at 35 euros
a pop on the low end, right up to 82 euros.

A typical round is around 45-50 euros. For one
freakin’ 18 hole round of golf.

It’s bananas.

But I LOVE IT! … absolutely love it to bits.

And as crazy as I may seem to a golf “outsider”,
I’m far from the craziest.

My buddy Mark Thompson is prob’ly worse. And there
are millions just like us all around the world.

Millions.

Which leads me to the point of this email.

Finding the crazy ones. The weirdos. And the
desperate buyers … is one of the keys to
making a killing online.

‘Tiny Little Businesses’ shows you exactly how
to find crazy people like me and MT.

Then REALLY dig deep into understanding the
emotional hot-buttons of that audience.

It’s a process. And we dissect it for you,
in crazy detail.

We’ve opened up TLB for this week. We close
end of play on Sunday (this Sunday, 22nd).

Time to step up to the plate and get serious
about how you approach your online business.

Ray got into TLB yesterday. He wrote this to us:

> Hi Andre and Steve. I used to be “Frank”
> but I realized it wasn’t sustainable.
> I bought ARM 2.0 and NanoList which rock!
> I believe anything you say at this point.
> You could sell me shit on a shingle and I
> would eat it (not really).
> I believe in the truth and I don’t have
> any reason to doubt you. I totally understand
> what you guys are about to teach me.
> I hate all the bullshit gimmick shit I’ve
> bought over the past 2 years. Please don’t
> make me lose faith. Thanks. Ray

Ray is not alone. We survey all our new
members. And there’s a common theme that
we’re seeing.

They are sick to death of the magic bullet BS
and the shinny object syndrome.

> Your Frank v Matt story flat out struck
> a chord with me, and was perfect timing.
> No hype, more reality. I haven’t gone

You need to have an Authority Platform and know how to do List Building with a Blog because this is a very powerful SEO strategy.

In the 6th Strategy on this post about 6 Easy List Building Automation Strategies

I talk about a very important SEO Tactic i want to talk about more in depth because it is very powerful and it’s one of my main SEO Strategies and

You need to do this too.

You can write only for search engines or for real people.

Write an article that is only keyword optimized but give little to no value to real people.

On the other hand you can write a normal article just talking (writing as you talk in real life) about the topic or the point you want to make and give your experience, research and insights in the topic.

But you are targeting a specific keyword.

Like i have said in the 6th strategy in the 6 Easy List Building Automation Strategies Post:

6 – Write Articles Based on Traffic Keywords: On what niche are you in? Are you on the weight loss niche? Then enter your main keyword to the Keyword research tool.

https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal

Enter your main keyword and watch what other Long Tail keywords you can target. Look for the ones that have less traffic because they will be easier to rank for. Look for keywords in the range of 5,000 searches per month specially in the competitive weight loss niche. Choose 5 keywords with that amount of searches. Then write an article about that keyword. For example you have found the keyword “Weight loss diets for women”

Then write an article starting with the title: 6 Easy Weight Loss Diet Tips for Women

Derek explains this very well in this blog post on the DIY Themes Blog.

He talks about a very cool tactic you can implement when you are targeting a Highly Competitive Keyword. You can setup a Resource Page with all your Posts on the Topic of the Target Keyword.

I will post the complete article below so you can read it easily.

The #1 WordPress SEO Tactic Every Blogger Should Implement

by Derek Halpern

No joke. In the sea of information about getting higher search engine rankings, this is the ONE tip you can’t skip.

And when you get in the habit of using it day in, and day out, for each one of your articles, you can start seeing some exponential traffic growth over the long term.

What’s the tip? It’s much easier to implement than you think, and you don’t need to know anything about “technology” to pull it off.

How to Optimize Your WordPress Blog for High Search Engine Rankings

This is going to sound so simple, but seriously, it’s one of the best things you can do for your blog.

When you write content, make each one of your articles target one specific keyword.

Now I’m not telling you to create content for the sake of ranking for specific keywords. That’s a horrible strategy.

What I mean is, after you write blog reader focused content, make sure you have a “dream keyword” that you’d like to rank for on your new article.

For example, the video I shared with you last week on the blog post “How to increase blog conversion rates.”

It was helpful content, tailored directly towards you, the blog reader, but eventually, I’m hoping that article will rank for Blog Conversion Rates.

What If You’re Dealing With Highly Competitive Keywords?

That takes a lot more work, for sure, but that’s where resource pages come into play.

I’ll explain.

Instead of having a dream keyword for one article, you come up with a dream keyword for a group of articles.

And then you group those articles on a resource page.

For example, look at our resource page about WordPress SEO. Yes, we’re putting high quality content out about search engine optimization, but ideally, we’d also like to pick up some rankings for WordPress SEO.

And instead of trying to do it with one single article, we’re doing it with a group of articles because we know search engines like content that’s complete, and exhaustive.

One Word of Warning about This Simple Tip

I’ve got to say this because many people make this huge mistake.

When you start using this strategy, do not begin stuffing your content with keywords that you’d like to rank for.

The goal is to take your regular content, and just keep a keyword in the back of your mind while you’re writing it.

Don’t use the keywords for the sake of using the keywords. Remember, you want to put your reader first… always.

Because, even though the search engines can be gamed, they’re actively trying to combat “cheating.”

And while you may get away with some shady tactics for a short while, it’s not worth risking your blog… your blog that you’ve poured your time and effort into… because you tried to take a shortcut.

Then, of course, there’s Thesis…

Here’s a dirty secret about WordPress SEO:

There’s only so much you can do to your blog… on your own site… that can help you rank higher in search engines.

Aside from this simple tip, the other thing that you can do is sport rock-solid code that will supercharge your SEO.

For example, small changes like having h2 tags surrounding your headlines on your home page… and h1 tags surrounding your headlines on your single post pages.

Or, as another example, if you’re using a left sidebar, right content layout, you’ll want your content loading “before” your sidebar… even though it looks like it comes “after it.”

Things like this matter when it comes to optimizing your blog for search, and Thesis does all of that for you… right out of the box.

So, if you don’t have Thesis, pick it up today. If you do, take comfort in knowing that we’ve got your back when it comes to optimal SEO settings for your WordPress site.

The other part of this strategy is to get links to your individual pages to get them ranked on the search engines.

This is a very powerful strategy and can’t be taken lightly because it works and you are giving google what it wants.

Good Quality Content for their “Searchers” and they will find the info they are looking for and then coming back to google because every time they go to that “colorful” (evil? ;) ) search engine they found what they are looking for.

:)

Implement this strategy now and tell me your experiences!

You need to create an Authority site for long term profits on the internet. If you decided you want to build a business online then you know that it requires work and a long term strategy to do that. And Online Business is no different from an Offline Business but You can Leverage the Internet and work from anywhere in the world with just an internet connection.

To build an Authority Site i have two blueprints you can follow.

  1. Quantity Over Quality
  2. How To Create and Sell an Authority Website

Once you follow those steps then you need to promote your site and you can use this 5 long term link building techniques to get traffic from google and other search engines.

Promotion is the most important part once you have built your website because nobody will see your site and make money by list building, selling your products or doing affiliate marketing.

Let me share you this guest post from John Chow’s blog that talks about the Blog Networks Google Slap and how you can do this link building techinques and never be penalized or be frowned by google.

I will post this article below for you to read it completely.

5 Ethical Long-Term Link Building Techniques

    by Guest Blogger

You’d probably have read about the recent happenings around Google and Build My Rank. John even published a post on it here a few days ago.

To be sincere, I was as surprised as you when I came across that post as I can imagine how much loss the owner of the service and its users will have incurred.

As much as I love the concept of it, automated isn’t something to smile upon if you own an online business and really care about it, especially if you depend on the search engines for your results.

The key to SEO success is to be as ethical as possible; every search engine I know of has advocated this, and all the trends have proved to be in favor of those who are ethical.

If you’re still involved in unethical link building practices for your online business, it is time to change. If you don’t know much about link building, this article will help. I’ll be sharing with you 5 ethical long-term link building techniques guaranteed to work. Most of these techniques I’ll be using with my led tubes website, so I think I should share them with you first.

    1. Guest Blogging

You’ve read about it, and it’s not new, but it’s effective.
One thing that surprises me about guest blogging is the rate at which big companies are using it, whereas bloggers pay little attention to it.

Guest blogging is the process of writing a guest post for another blog, with the hope of gaining quality backlinks, exposure, or traffic back to your site. It’s been for a few years now, and everything proves to show that it works.

The key to success in guest blogging is for you to focus on authoritative blogs that work. Not necessarily smaller blogs, but not also the blogs that are too big. Focus on the moderate blogs, observe your results and be ready to tweak when necessary.

The key to successful link building via guest blogging is to be as unique and informative as possible in your guest posts. Focus on offering as much value as possible, let people see it and you’ll get the results you desire.
If you don’t know what guest blogging is, check out this article on YoungPrePro.

    2. Trackback Links
Very few people talk about this, but it is quite effective. There are two advantages to focusing on generating trackback links. First, it requires you to link to other bloggers in your article, and this is healthy for your blog in the search engines. Search engines like it when people link back to other sites, since it is authoritative sites that usually do this. It means you can be trusted, and that you don’t only care about getting ranked.

The second advantage of linking back to other bloggers in your article is that it helps you score permanent links. Most bloggers display trackbacks on their blog, because it is a way to boost their ego and let everyone know that someone linked to them.

Trackback links won’t be deleted, they would always be given a priority by the bloggers that get them, and they are keyword rich since they contain your post title (this is a privilege ordinary comments won’t enjoy).

Linking back to other bloggers also helps them know you; it fosters a relationship between you and them, and increases your future chances of success. Link to other bloggers, there’s a lot of benefits for you in it!

    3. Video Links

Videos can provide you multiple advantages if you use them right. First, the search engines give them priority over text and other mediums of content; in other words, your video will be ranked higher, linked to a lot more and then benefit your site on the long run.

You can also submit your video to several streaming sites without having to worry about having duplicate content problems; in other words, you can use one video to get as much as 20 unique backlinks.

Videos are becoming more popular and effective nowadays, both for links and better user experience so make sure you start doing more of them.

    4. eBook Distribution
If you search for education related keywords you will notice a lot of pdf files already indexed in the search engines. The fun thing is that if you try to read any one of those pdf files you will notice that those files actually have their own pagerank, which is often very high in most cases. In other words, if you could have 20 pagerank 4 ebooks linking back to your site with your desired keywords, you can imagine how much impact that will make.

Very few people write ebooks to build links, so this particular tactic is highly underutilized. Here’s your opportunity to capitalize on it.

Focus on writing quality ebooks, embed links back to your site in them, and try to market the heck out of them.

    5. Be Interviewed

You’ll be surprised at the number of people willing to interview you just to build their portfolio. You don’t necessarily need to be established in your field; you just have to be interesting and unique.

It doesn’t matter which field you’re in, you can still be interviewed. Contact other bloggers in your niche for interview opportunities, ask relevant media outlets whether they want to interview you, and subscribe to sites like Help a Reporter Out to get updates on who might be interested in interviewing you.

    What are Your Tips?

These are the link building techniques I’ll be using with my led tubes site, what are your tips? What is working for you? Has your site ever suffered as a result of unethical links from other sites? Kindly share them below!

I think this link building techniques are very powerful and Guest Blogging and Ebook Distribution is the most important of them and i am sure going to implement those on List Building Blogger :)

Let me know what you think on the comments below.

You need to always test different things in your sites to increase conversions.

Test a new opt in form, or change the headline of your sales letter so you can be always improving things that you know work well. The slightest increase on performance on a money site it will directly impact your income.

You will give yourself an “instant pay raise”. You can use various tools like Google Website Optimizer to do a simple split test and look at the results.

Or you can completely dedicate a page on your blog and give Reasons Why they need to subscribe to your blog. Communicate the benefits of getting blog updates of every blog post you send.

AWeber made a Test and they Quadrupled their Optin Rate with this Landing Page Approach and i am going to follow their advice.

For your convenience i posted their Test Results here so read below:

Test Results: How to Quadruple Your Opt In Rate

By: Justin Premick
If you’ve been doing email marketing for over a week, you’ve probably heard all about split testing: why you should, easy split tests you can implement today, split testing your web forms and calls to action, and so on.
If people liked email as much as they like cats, “test it!” would be our “I can has cheezburger?” (It practically is around AWeber.)

You’d think there’s no way we wouldn’t be testing everything possible around here, right?

Wrong.

I just got done running a test and it reminded me why we go back to this topic over and over.

If you’d like to build your list over 321% faster, take a couple minutes to read this post.

The Sad Story of a Neglected Landing Page

Thanks to loyal readers like you who read, comment and tell other people about the email marketing tips here (thanks!), this blog and its readership have grown steadily over the past 6 years.

We’ve done a number of things over the years to make it grow faster. One important thing that has made it easier to build our blog newsletter is our subscribe page, which we link up in our emails and also push people to from the signup form in the blog’s sidebar.

Below is a screenshot of what this page used to look like, before our test.

As you can see, it’s not amazing, but it’s an OK page. It encourages people to subscribe and gives them an idea of what they’ll get for doing so.

It meets the basic requirements of a subscribe page.

Which is probably why the page hadn’t been updated since 2008.

Holy Hypocrisy, Batman!

It was pretty embarrassing to realize how old that page was, especially when we talk about how big a deal testing is.

Clearly it was time for some changes – or at least, to test them.

We looked at our subscribe page and a bunch of other ones to see what changes might be worth testing.

One style that made a lot of sense to us was the “X Reasons to Subscribe” format that we found on a number of websites. (Career Realism and The 4 Hour Work Week are good examples; for a bunch more, just Google “reasons to subscribe” and you’ll have a ton to work with.)

So we created a version of our subscribe page that followed this format, and added a few wrinkles of our own that we thought might improve the opt-in rate.

The New Version: 7 Reasons to Subscribe

Here’s the page we created for the test.

This version is a complete change from what was there, so we were pretty confident that we’d get a large, statistically significant change fast… for better or worse.

Results: 321% Increase in Confirmed Opt-Ins

We ran the split test via Visual Website Optimizer, which is an easy-to-use website testing tool.

In less than a week, the outcome was clear: the new “7 Reasons to Subscribe” page was outperforming the old version by over 321%.

So that page, which had just been plugging along, is now getting over 4 times as many people to subscribe as it used to. To put it another way: for every 1000 people to that page, we’re now getting 114 of them to sign up, instead of just 27 of them.

Why Did The New Page Do So Much Better?

Looking at the pages side by side, it seems obvious that the 2nd one would do better.

The “X Reasons to Subscribe” format is powerful stuff. And if that’s all you need to take away from this to go test your own subscribe page, that’s fine by me.

But for those of you who want to see the “why” behind these results, let’s dig a little deeper.

Click on the screenshot to see the new subscribe page, annotated with my thoughts on why it worked:

A few points I want to underscore:

  • Testimonialsmake this page really rock. For each reason, we have a real testimonial from a reader so that visitors can see that the promises we’re making on this page are authentic. How’d we get those testimonials? We surveyed subscribers late last year and asked them this question:“Please share one way you’ve improved your email campaign results after reading this blog. What did you learn from the blog, what did you do, and how did it help your campaign?”
  • Focused copy that addresses why people read our blog. At the end of the day, improving your email campaigns is about making more money with them. So we speak directly to the profit motive in the introduction and with our choice of testimonials.
  • It’s easy to subscribe, with multiple chances to do so. We have a form at the end for people who need to read all 7 reasons before signing up. At the same time, we have an option to subscribe near the top for people who are sold after the first 1 or 2 reasons.

What Can Testing Do For Your Business?

Think about how much traffic your subscribe page (or your about or contact page) gets in a month.

What if you could turn a tenth (or more!) of them into subscribers? How many more people on your email list would that be?

Now, multiply that number by 12.

That’s how many people you’re losing by not testing your subscribe page.

Time to Go Test For Yourself

OK, now that you’ve seen what we did and how it has improved our results, I have 2 suggestions for you:

  1. Test it! :)
  2. When you do, come back and share your results.

One last thing: if you haven’t subscribed to this blog yet, and you want advice like this on how to make your email marketing more successful and profitable, you should subscribe today.

So what do you think?

Are you going to implement this Landing Page on your Blog to Increase Optin Rates? They were getting 27 subscribers with the old Landing page and now they are getting 114! that’s a huge increase and it sure add’s up.

Let me know what you think comment below!

Authority Webisites will give you long term income and you should be building sites that actually provide value. I have talked in the past about Authority Sites and their importance now that Google is constantly changing it’s algorithm and slowly getting more things like social media to count on how they rank sites.

Also Google is suggesting now that the content they want to see on sites is such as research, in-depth reports, thoughtful analysis.

So you will be asking…

Is all this worth it at the End?

Creating content helping people with a website, find valuable information? It’s too much hassle and there’s a lot of information overload that i can’t even focus on one method to make money.

Well i will show you a case study from a Guest Post in Pro Blogger on how he created an Authority Site and went on to sell it for $200,000 dollars!

Websites are Virtual Real State that you can sell for a lot of money. You can incorporate List Building into the equation to earn more money and use other monetization methods stated in the article. I will republish the entire article for your convenience here.

How to Create a Website and Sell it for $200,000

This guest post is by Patrick Meninga of Make Money with No Work.

Over the last four years, I created a single website that exceeded $2,000 in monthly income, and sold for six figures to one of my direct advertisers.

When I started this journey, I had no idea what I was doing. I wasted a great deal of time using actions that were inefficient, wasteful, and unprofitable. Looking back, it is easy to see which actions produced the most income.

My action checklist for creating a website and selling it for $200,000 looked like this:

  • selected the perfect topic
  • published a high volume of content
  • created premium content to attract organic links
  • pitched premium quality guest posts
  • cultivated a community of fans
  • negotiated direct advertising deals
  • persisted through any setbacks
  • sold when the right offer came along.

Select the perfect topic

I chose the perfect topic for my website. The subject of addiction worked because:

  1. I had expert knowledge and first-hand experience in it.
  2. There was sufficient traffic and interest in the topic on the web.
  3. There was money to made from related products and services.

If you want to creating a six-figure website, you’ll need to meet all three of these requirements.

How can you find the perfect topic?

Think carefully about where your expertise lies. What have you done, what have you learned, and what could you teach others? Brainstorm a list of potential topics based on your experiences. ProBlogger has some helpful suggestions on how to do this.

Next, filter your list of potential topics by profitability. ProBlogger has a detailed guide on how to do this.

Then, filter your list of topics based on potential volume. ProBlogger explores the idea of considering your niche’s volume in detail.

It is not enough to choose a topic in which you are an expert. You need to find the intersection between:

  • your expertise
  • sufficient traffic volumes and interest on the web
  • profit potential.

Publish a high volume of content

I sold my website for six figures because I published a large number of articles. This is how I attracted large volumes of search engine traffic.

My success stemmed from a mountain of content. Over the life of my website, I averaged three new articles per day, resulting in over a thousand new articles each year.

My website sold for six figures because it had a lot of quality content on it.

One of the most important things to implement is a daily quota for publishing new articles. Build a big website. Publish regularly. Writing multiple articles per day will result in the fastest growth. Volume matters. Ninety percent of my effort went into content creation.

Create premium content to attract organic links

One action I took was to create premium content. What is “premium content?” It is content that beats the competition on the web.

Search for you topic online, and glance through the top sites. Analyze the quality, depth, and usefulness of this content. Your goal is to write and publish content that exceeds the quality of what’s already out there. Create a better resource that is useful to your audience.

These are the actions I took to accomplish this with my website:

  • I designed custom infographics (even though I did not know exactly what I was doing!).
  • I published several free ebooks.
  • I helped anyone with personal questions via email for free.
  • I created videos to give the audience a choice of content formats.
  • I created a discussion forum where people could ask questions, get advice, or seek feedback from each other.

Few of my competitors were implementing these tactics, and many of these strategies generated organic links and word-of-mouth exposure for me.

Pitch premium quality guest posts

My website sold for six figures because it had enough authority to rank for many keywords. The site was pulling in over eighty thousand unique visits per month because it had a combination of lots of articles and enough authority to rank well. That authority was created through a handful of guest posts.

While ProBlogger already explores how to get your first guest post published, I want to highlight a couple of points that many people may not realize.

Firstly, because guest posting can be difficult, many people will turn to chasing easy, manufactured links. Don’t do this! While some links are very easy to get, they won’t be as powerful as a real guest post. Recognize that quality links are difficult to achieve but are well worth the added effort.

Secondly, with most topics on the web, you only need a few guest posts to create powerful authority. Do not be discouraged. Just start with a single guest post. Give things time. If you are not getting the results you want, add another guest post. This is part of a long-term strategy: give new links time to produce results.

Cultivate a community of fans

I created a fan base in a simple two-step process on my website:

  1. I engaged my readers by opening discussions with them about my articles, encouraging them to leave comments, and having conversations with them.
  2. I gave them a platform in which a community formed and took hold. For my site, this meant adding a discussion forum.

This approach was so successful that some of the fans spread the new forum via word of mouth, bringing in friends and growing the community naturally.

Thus, the action of cultivating fans must begin by engaging your readers. Start a discussion, have conversations, and build from that.

Negotiated direct advertising deals

While I built my site and earned decent money from it, I asked myself, “What if I could monetize more efficiently?”

I was using Google AdSense, so I set out with the goal to make a direct advertising deal. I made a list of each advertiser, then contacted them and inquired about going direct. This was my basic pitch:

“Look, you are already purchasing traffic from my website via Google. What if we were to cut out the middleman, do a direct deal, and both come out ahead for it? Is that something that interests you?”

After contacting about 20 advertisers, five replied, and I struck three different ad deals. Each of these ran separately, and they had mildly successful results. In all three cases, AdSense delivered better results. There were two problems. First, our advertising contract was too short: there was not enough time to measure real results. Also, the advertisers didn’t have enough control over my website, and couldn’t fine-tune things to their needs.

Even though these direct advertising deals didn’t pan out, they were still valuable because I learned from them. Most importantly, the last direct deal that I made resulted in an unsolicited offer to purchase the website. This would not have happened had I not experimented with new forms of monetization.

Persist through any setbacks

During my journey to create a full-time income online, I experienced a few setbacks. The reason that my website sold for such a large amount is because I persisted through these setbacks and continued to improve the website.

In one instance, a Google algorithm update reduced my traffic by about 40%. I quickly made corrective actions and improved the quality of my content. This particular setback helped in that it raised my standard of quality for future posts. Instead of producing “good enough” articles, I tried to redefine what “premium content” meant to me. I challenged myself to be original, insightful, and helpful with each new article I published.

Sell when the right offer comes along

As I stated above, my last direct advertising deal resulted in an offer I could not refuse. $200,000 was a life-changing amount of money for me. I also had the knowledge and skill to build another profitable website.

Think carefully about your selling price, and keep it in the back of your head. If your website is earning $1,000 per month, would you sell the website for $30,000? Why or why not?

My website sold for an outrageous premium because it was “best in class” in terms of original content, epic resource articles, and lots of free ebooks. The strength of the content and the community will allow the site to remain profitable long into the future.

Review your action list

To increase monthly income or sell your site for a huge premium, review the actions I’ve suggested in this article and make sure that you are addressing each of them. Six figures does not just fall into your lap, but if you are determined to work hard for your success, these actions can get you there.

Any questions? Let me know in the comments!

Patrick Meninga runs Make Money with No Work. Patrick recently sold his flagship website for $200,000 dollars and has since taken to sipping cold beverages on white sandy beaches. He also recently launched a free eBook titled “Ninjanomics – This Changes Everything.”

The most important part about this is to be consistent.

This is the hardest part because if you don’t choose a market that interest you then you are going to lose interest and don’t follow through.

What do you think about Building and Selling Websites?

Comment below!

The reason of this blog is to stress the fact that list building will make a night and day difference in your business when you apply what i will show you in this article and example case studies.

Yaro Starak talks about his students that applied many techniques on how to make money online but the most effective is List Building. I have seen a great shift recently. All major bloggers didn’t have a list building element on their blogs. They didn’t collected email addresses to keep in touch with their readers and only relied on RSS Feeds and their consistency on putting out great content.

But now that like Yaro Starak and other fomous bloggers have implemented list building to their businesses they doubled their business in a very short period of time and you can apply and learn from people that have done that. Yaro Shares in this article various ways on How To Make Money With Your Blog and I’m reprinting the article completely here for your convenience.

How To Make Money With Your Blog (With Case Studies As Proof)

By Yaro Starak
People often come to me as an expert at monetizing blogs. Although my experience making money online is not limited only to blogs, I’ve been able to extract a lot of income from not necessarily a lot of traffic.

For example, my proofreading business was able to generate a salary level income – sometimes as much as $15,000 in one month during peak season – from barely 100 unique visitors a day to the website. My card game site made $500 to $1,000 a month on 500 to 1,000 visitors a day, although this was before Google Analytics, so the “real” traffic numbers are likely less.

So what’s the secret to making money with blogs and getting the best return given less than stellar traffic? Read on and find out…

How Do Blogs Make Money?

Let’s look at how blogs make money. Whenever I’m asked that question I answer with the following three methods –

  • Advertising
  • Affiliate marketing
  • Selling products and services

You can make money with your blog by placing advertisements on it, by selling products as an affiliate where you earn a commission for each sale you refer, or by selling products and services of your own. There are many derivatives of these three methods, but at the top level, this pretty much covers it.

To break that down into more practical ideas, here are some of the ways bloggers currently make a living online.

  • You can place Google Adsense advertisements on your blog
  • Allow sponsors to pay you money for placing banners on your blog
  • Go to a site like Clickbank and find a product you can write about and promote as an affiliate
  • Create an ebook, set of audio or video CDs or DVDs, or home study course you sell them from your blog
  • Launch a membership site and promote it via your blog
  • Conduct a series of live webinars that you charge people money to attend
  • Host your own seminar or workshop and sell tickets to it on your blog (and record it to make a DVD product you can sell)
  • Add a shopping cart to your blog and source physical goods at wholesale you can sell at retail
  • Provide consulting or coaching services and charge by the hour for your time

Other options to earn a return from your blog that doesn’t directly result in money in your pocket, but can eventually, and are definitely a benefit, include…

  • Generating a well known brand, creating mass exposure for your name or what you do – and possibly become famous
  • Invitations to speak at conferences and seminars
  • An opportunity to publish a print book or several
  • Consulting to large companies resulting possibly in employment opportunities or large retainer fees
  • Free products to sample and review on your blog
  • VIP or press access to industry only events and parties

Now you know how blogs make money in terms of concepts and some practical ideas to implement the concepts, next let’s take a look at some case studies of bloggers I’ve personally met or interviewed and how they have made money from their blogs.

I’ll be as brief as I can with these explanations as I want to show you how diverse the ways bloggers make money by providing lots of examples. I’ve included some monthly income totals where possible, but the accuracy of the figures is very likely off, so don’t quote these as concrete numbers. Here we go…

Yaro Starak

Income: $20,000 to $50,000 a month
Niche: Blogging, Internet Marketing, Entrepreneurship
Blog: www.entrepreneurs-journey.com

I’ll start with my own example, since I know it best. I first started making good money with sponsors paying me to place banners and text links on my blog, which continues to this day (see my advertise page for details). Next I did affiliate marketing, initially starting with Perry Marshall’s products like his ebook and renaissance club, since I was studying his materials at the time. This led to promoting all kinds of affiliate products and services, from Aweber to 1ShoppingCart, and then the big launches that occur in the Internet Marketing niche.

After two years of blogging I launched my own course, Blog Mastermind, then another Membership Site Mastermind, and another in partnership with Gideon Shalwick, the Become A Blogger Premium video course. Just this year I started doing elite coaching at a minimum of $5,000 a person.

You can hear more of my story from a presentation I did explaining my history via audio or video.

Frances Kerr
Income: $4,000 to $8,000 a month
Niche: Alternative Health, Skin Care, Acne Treatment
Blog: www.highonhealth.com

I worked very closely with Fran, helping her to grow her alternative health, acne treatment and skin care blog. She made money first with Google Adsense, though it wasn’t much. Next she started selling banners to sponsors and then reviewing affiliates products like ebooks and DVDs. After about 18 months she wrote her first ebook on acne treatment with food, which resulted in a steady income stream, which has continued to this day. Next she launched her own online store with a shopping cart and started selling physical goods like skin care creams and chocolate. She added a coaching program and membership site, a second ebook and does private consulting for an hourly fee.
You can hear Fran explain her entire story in this podcast interview I did with her.

Alborz Fallah
Income: $100,000+ a month
Niche: Cars
Blog: www.caradvice.com.au

Alborz and I used to work a part time job at the local university computer help-desk. This particular job had the luxury of lots of spare time, which I used to write some of the very first articles on my blog. Alborz saw me blogging and jumped on the bandwagon, leading to the creation of Car Advice.

I spoke to Alborz consistently over the years as his blog grew. It took some pestering, but I finally managed to convince him to try Google Adsense on his blog, which immediately resulted in $20 a day and quickly grew to over $100 a day, then $200. Next he started adding banners from car companies who sponsored the blog because they could see how well it was doing in search engines for terms related to their cars. A big change occurred when he took on investors, helping the site reach car manufacturers to test drive cars, which has led to Alborz driving some of the most exotic cars on this planet, including the Bugatti Veyron. With investors, next came staff writers and then corporate sponsorship deals, which is like selling banners on your blog, but instead you are cutting $30,000 campaign deals with a car manufacturer, rather than $100 a month for a small banner.

Car Advice is now much more than just Alborz, but continues to derive the majority of its income from advertising, though merchandising like DVDs and even possibly a television show are likely extensions of what started off as just a humble blog. You can hear more about the early days of Car Advice in an interview I did with Alborz back in 2008.

Miami Mitch

Income: $15,000+ a month (this needs updating, I’m waiting for confirmation from Mitch)
Niche: Sports (began with College Football)
Blog: www.sportschatplace.com/

Mitch joined my Blog Mastermind coaching program during the very first intake in 2007 and immediately stood out as an action taker, attending virtually every coaching call we held, which he does even today three years since the program first opened (that’s value for money!). Mitch began with his passion for college football, starting CFBPlace (College Football Place) where he quickly established his authority at picking the winners of matches.

Like Alborz, Mitch was hesitant for a very long time to attempt to make money from his site, but recently started monetizing his blog. I don’t know the specifics, but I do know Mitch’s site earns income from affiliate programs, especially in relation to betting on sports (his site now has a team of writers who pick the winners of games). Advertising banners, some of which go to affiliate programs, are his main source of income, however he is going to launch a premium sports picks membership site, which will no doubt ramp up the income significantly.

When Mitch first got started I interviewed him to find out how he was able to rapidly increase his traffic in such a short period of time.

Leigh Peele
Income: $10,000+ a month (This is data from 2009, so she is no doubt doing different numbers now)
Niche: Fat Loss
Blog: www.leighpeele.com/

Leigh was also one of my very first Blog Mastermind and Membership Site Mastermind students, who really took my training and ran with it. Leigh monetizes her blog by selling an ebook via Clickbank called The Fat Loss Trouble Shooter and by offering members only sections on her blog. Access to parts of her blog are for members only, which she charges money to access.

Back in 2008 I interviewed Leigh when she was just starting to implement what she learned from my programs, where she explained how she went from $20 to $4,500 a month from her blog.

Will Hamilton
Income: $15,000 a month
Niche: Tennis
Blog: www.fuzzyyellowballs.com

Will Hamilton is a professional tennis coach who turned his knowledge and passion into a six figure income, combining his blog with an email list and using YouTube as the main source of marketing. He creates videos, uploads them to YouTube, drives the traffic from YouTube back to his blog (he puts the videos on his blog too), some of them opt-in to his newsletter, and he sells his membership site to make money. Last time I talked to him he had over 600 paying members who pay $25/month.

You can hear Will explain exactly how he does what he does in this in-depth interview I did with him in audio and video.

Olivier Roland
Income: 14,000 Euros a month
Niche: How To Start A Business
Blog: www.des-livres-pour-changer-de-vie.fr/

Olivier Roland is a French Blogger who participated in both my Blog Mastermind and Membership Site Mastermind training programs. Olivier has enjoyed success cementing himself as a leader in business and blogging, but doing so in the French marketplace, proving that the same principles when applied in other languages can work. Olivier had a very rapid rise to success, launching his first training program only twelve months writing to his blog. Although before this he did spend ten years running his own technology business.

You can hear the full story of how Olivier started his blog and launched a successful training program in under two years in this interview I did with him for my podcast in January 2011.

Pat Flynn
Income: $10,000+ a month
Niche: Architecture and Information Marketing
Blog: www.smartpassiveincome.com

Pat Flynn’s story is very inspirational. He lost his job as an architect during the global financial crisis. His blog was originally used simply as a store house for notes he was taking as he studied for a specific qualification called the LEED exam. Strangely enough, the blog took off because other people were searching for information about the LEED qualification and his notes showed up in search results. Eventually this lead to releasing an ebook, which was just a collection of his blog posts that Pat then sold from his blog. He quickly found himself making six figures a year. He used his success to start another blog about Internet marketing called Smart Passive Income and started making money by promoting affiliate products and later creating and selling iPhone applications.

Pat explained how he was so quickly able to go from newly fired from his job to making $200,000 a year online in this interview I did with him.

Robb Sutton
Income: Full time income (he lives off it, but I don’t know how much)
Niche: Bikes and Blogging
Blog: mountain.bike198.com and www.robbsutton.com

Robb Sutton is seriously into mountain bike riding. He translated his passion into a blog, then a full blown community website of mountain biking die-hards. I don’t know how much Robb makes, but I do know he scores plenty of free stuff – even free mountain bikes worth thousands of dollars – thanks to his blog. He has sponsors who place banners on his blog and I suspect he also uses affiliate marketing as he recommends bikes and bike parts on his blog.

Robb’s specialty is scoring free goods thanks to your blog, which you can learn how to do in this interview with Robb.

David Risley
Income: Six Figures a year
Niche: Computers and Blogging
Blog: www.davidrisley.com and www.pcmech.com/

David Risley, like many people who teach how to profit from blogs, first learned his craft by starting a blog in a different niche – in this case, computers. David monetizes his computer blog, PCMech, with sponsors, Google Adsense and a premium members area. His DavidRisley.com blog is focused on selling David’s training programs, with a little affiliate marketing thrown in. David has done a great job integrated his blogs as membership sites, adding premium sections available only to paying members.

You can listen to David explain how he started making money with blogs in this interview I did with him.

More Bloggers Who Make Money

This is just a small sample of the people currently using blogs to make significant income online. On top of the list above, there’s a few others I didn’t mention as you probably know them already, for example -

Katie Freiling, who uses her blog as a branding and community leadership tool and she makes well over six figures a year selling her training products and promoting other products as an affiliate. You can listen to the interview I did with Katie here.

Jeremy Schoemaker who runs a multi-million dollar online business with 12 staff, has leveraged his Shoemoney blog for selling his products, promoting affiliate products, landing speaking engagements, building his email list and cementing himself as one of the most well known Internet marketers. I interviewed Jeremy to get his full background story.

There’s also Darren Rowse, John Chow and Brian Clark, who all rose to prominence teaching how to profit from blogging and all are multiple six figure earners, or millionaires.

Darren also has a hugely successful blog in the photography niche, which he monetizes by selling ebooks, affiliate marketing camera related products and through sponsorship.

Steve Pavlina has one of the most basic designed personal development blogs, but also one of the most popular, with millions of readers. He makes as much as $100,000 a month promoting affiliate products, using Google Adsense and this year has been running live workshops in Las Vegas, which he fills to capacity at $500 a head using his blog for promotion. You can find an interview I did with Steve here.

Tim Sykes specializes in penny stalk trading and earns over a million dollars a year from his blog teaching others how to do it. He sells DVDs, CDs, a membership site and all kinds of penny stock trading related materials. I interviewed Tim, which you can listen to here.

What Is The Best Way To Make Money With Your Blog?

As you can see by all these amazing examples, plenty of people are earning a lot of money using blogs, covering all kinds of different niches, and using all kinds of methods to generate the income.

At the end of the day, the answer to the question of what is the best way to make money with your blog is a combination of what you can gain the most leverage from, what level of work is required to make it work, what are your personal preferences, what goals do you have, how clear are you on how things work, what are you afraid of and what situation you are in.

Your blog traffic obviously plays a huge part in your success, but many bloggers earn a lot with comparably little traffic, so don’t think you have to be the next Car Advice delivering millions of visitors a year to make it work. Pick a good niche, find the best points of leverage given your traffic and style, then get to work going after the dream.

In my experience, the majority of bloggers who break the six figures a year mark or better, do so focusing on a combination of money making methods. You need to test different advertising formats, combine that with some affiliate marketing, maybe some pay per lead campaigns, or do product launches and consulting. Build out a product funnel and foster a huge email list to sell it to and keep testing until you find what works and what delivers a level of income you are happy with.
