Today I am going to talk about guest blogging. Not many people talks about this in the Internet marketing space, it is a very effective technique to drive targeted traffic to your site or blog because you syndicate content and actually borrow someone else authority platform and you are leveraging the power of other blogs.

They are two types of guest blogging

Syndicate Content:

You can syndicate the same content that you have published either in your blog or in article directories by doing this you are showing your content through other sources you can also post this these articles or blog posts to your newsletter or your Ezine.

A well-known and big company does these same model this company enters a market or a vertical that it’s well known. It enters a money making niche and starts implementing this strategy to build a multi million dollar company (like 100 million a year).

For example they start a commodity website were they talk about gold, silver and agricultural stocks and they start inviting experts in their field like Mike Maloney and he talks a lot about silver and why you should buy silver and gold because the US dollar is not a safe currency because the federal reserve (As private as federal express) is printing a lot of dollars and now it is causing inflation.

So they invite Mike Maloney to publish content for newsletter subscribers and Mike Maloney doesn’t have to write the content he has had a lot of content on that topic because he’s an expert and he only syndicates that to the new site newsletter.

Also with this model of syndication of content you can get a lot of joint venture opportunities and get them as an expert panelist delivering regular syndicated content to your blog and newsletter.

It’s a win-win situation for everyone involved in these transactions the expert delivers the content the site owners gets the content and the readers get a lot of great content that they otherwise will not see.

Guest Blogging

The other part of the equation is guest blogging the real guest blogging because you take advantage of social media and Twitter, Facebook, Youtube and other people blogs.

So you send a mail to the blog owner with a piece of content that you want to write about and impresses that blog owner and start writing for them.

I recommend you to write an extensive post and a quality post to that blog.

You can write a 1,000 word article with screenshots and also you can put a video if necessary and send it to the blog owner to review it. Do that for every popular blog in your niche and all the pieces of content you send to these blogs needs to be unique you can’t syndicate all other articles you have made and published.

In guest blogging you are creating a relationship with the blog owner so that you can post regularly and build a audience very fast.

A lot of Internet marketing gurus don’t talk about this technique because it’s not that fancy and they only talk about this like is a secondary tactic.

It is a very good tactic that you can focus on and only on that and you’re going to get Great results

If you go to for example Problogger.net or JohnChow.com and start creating a relationship with them commenting on their blog posts and also sending e-mails to them with new content that you have created especially for them you’re going to make an impact in their minds and they are going to have you present when they need more content.

Bloggers want more content for Google to index and its one more ticket to get the jackpot on the search engines and traffic and money for their business with this traffic they are building their fan base and their list building efforts are getting a lot off of leverage with your blog posts.

Also you are getting a link back from them and also a little bit of traffic to your blog and it’s also a win-win situation because you are benefiting because you are growing your expert status and tapping into Another Authority Platform.

This way you incentivice affiliates to get traffic for you and build a list without money out of pocket. Just take care of your affiliates and they will take care of you.

3 - Allow Guest Posts: This is a great strategy that i am implementing but following the Ezine model. The Ezine model is just have a panel of experts that syndicate available content they have (or created for their blog or other sites) and share it with your “Tribe” this way a lot more people get exposed to that specific piece of content that otherwise just a few subscribed will only read.

This is a very common practice and Multi Million Dollar Giants like Agora Publishing use this strategy to create content for their newsletter subscribers. 4 - Do Guest Posting on High Traffic Blogs in your Niche: Also Guest posting on sites like Problogger.net (if you are in the internet marketing niche) will give you massive amount of traffic and also link love. This way you improve your search engine traffic to your Authority Platform and you grow your assets in an instant. You position yourself like an expert and it’s a snowball of benefits. It’s a win win for everybody. Just read how James Penn does that in his blog post above.

5 - The Importance of List Building Software: Speed of implementation is key to create squeeze pages and landing pages. Read that article to see if List Building Software is important for growing and building your list.

6 – Write Articles Based on Traffic Keywords: On what niche are you in? Are you on the weight loss niche? Then enter your main keyword to the Keyword research tool.

Enter your main keyword and watch what other Long Tail keywords you can target. Look for the ones that have less traffic because they will be easier to rank for. For example you have found the keyword “Weight loss diets for women”

Then write an article starting with the title: 6 Easy Weight Loss Diet Tips for Women

If you comply to take an action that a complete stranger told you to do then you are part of this consistency principle. There are a lot of great examples on Cialdini’s Influence and as a student of marketing you should get that book asap to learn more principles that will make you an influencer.

What is a cliff hanger content?

Let me explain. A cliff hanger is something used in movies and tv shows. For example the Tv Series LOST used the magic of Cliff hangers in a very good way because the people that saw that TV show was hooked and wanted to resolve the mystery of the magical island and all that dilemma.

This mystery was feed with cliff hangers and you should use them for you advantage in this list building system.

So instead of creating content in a long page outlining all the how to information of the system you cut that long page and separate it into chunks with a “Click Here to Continue” button on the bottom of each Cliff Hanger Content Page.

Like this, And this, Another one here.

The more content pages you have you will have a more quality subscriber in your list.

Because that person consumed your content and followed the consistency principle. He or she clicked the “Click Here to Continue” many times to get the the last page of content.

In the last page of content instead of putting the “Click Here to Continue” button to continue to other Cliff Hanger content you put an Optin Form that Continues the Relationship with you.

You can give your subscriber a free video or a free report with more information about the subject.

I have seen optin rates with this kind of list building system as high as 80% optin rate!

It says that in the Aweber Form optin rate. If you build a list this way you will have a responsive list, expect your subscribers to open your emails and get high click through rates (CTR).

You should create a good Autoresponder sequence and build an Automatic Money Engine that provides quality content to your subscribers but also recommends products and services that you know will work for them.

You can comfortably build a list with a very simple HTML landing page.

I have done that many times and all the people before you have done that very effectively. But now technology have changed and many wordpress themes and plugins have come to the market that will make your html landing pages look bad in front of this well designed an optimized for SEO landing pages.

This is the real list building software that you want to get your hands on.

If you try “Automated list building software” that spit out fake email addresses or spam email you won’t succeed.

You need to pay for traffic that caters to what you are selling.

If you are selling some fitness videos that you have done the research that it’s for men, then you buy for example, traffic only for males in facebook.

You write the ads specifically to that person. You are not talking to all the people “in the room” you are talking to just one person.

That is were the persona comes to play.

You create a persona that you describe every aspect of his life.

His demographic (income, age, etc) and you tailor that specific message to that persona.

If you target your prospects this way you are being more effective.

You can’t please everybody.

And everybody can make you rich very easily but also a very small group of people can make you rich.

Or go and target a specific group of people (niche within a niche) that want to solve a problem?

I think the second option is the smart way to go.

So you need a Landing Page.

You need a freebie video, report or audio in exchange for their name and email address (you can only ask for email if you don’t want to personalize to who you are talking with)

And you need traffic that is targeted to what you are selling.

So there are several list building software that will speed up your time of implementation of your new lead generation site.

If you are not technical savvy and you can install wordpress on your server then this list building software will speed up the process of getting a site up in minutes. You can setup a wordpress site and then install the following resource i will share with you, but let me explain.

You can create high converting landing pages, sales letters, video salesletters, membership sites with this software. And it only cost $97 bucks.

You can get other similar solutions like Kajabi but that charges a monthly payment and if you are just starting out then this is not the best solution for you.

I recommend you check out the resource below and decide for yourself.

I don’t want this post to be a review about Optimize Press i am just pointing you in the right direction of what i use to create my landing pages, sales letters and membership sites.

But you may think that a list building software is going to fetch and crawl all the internet and get “magically” all the email addresses you may need and send an email and become wealthy.

No, no and NO!

This doesn’t work this way.

This is marketing.

Internet marketing.

Direct response marketing.

Do you know what is direct response marketing?

You must know what it is.

Basically is selling directly to a group of people that need to solve a specific problem, get cash from your customer, solve the problem and give 10 times more value for what your customer paid for. Then pay the advertising fee for the direct mail piece and see what ROI (return of investment) you had with that specific campaign.

Then congratulations you are in the smart side of internet marketing.

You have now understand the basic concepts of money getting on the internet providing great value to your customers. You know that by clicking the button of you mouse 3 times you are not going to get rich.

So you are on your way to start building your list.

It’s a hard decision to make if you have tried making money from Adsense and other methods. I have tried Adsense, buying expired domains with traffic (this method works but you need some investment capital). What worked for me is to create information products and sell them to people that need to solve a problem, just like i was talking to you in the beginning of this article.

And then i started building a list and i was creating an audience that wants to hear what i am saying. They respect me, after all they gave their information to me so there’s and interest an attraction aspect that you can’t have with other type of traffic.

Email marketing is the best type of communication because you get to the digital inbox of your prospect and you get their attention.

So remember that speed of implementation is key to having the first step to building a list.

Having a Landing page that gives a solution with your freebie video, report or audio.

You can use the list building software to speed up the process of creating you lead generation site.

And getting the right type of traffic targeted to your own customer persona.

I have tried both double optin and single optin and i have Talked About that in the Past. Single Optin is more profitable because you get a lot more people in your email list. And you won’t have any problem if you provide quality content and not just promotion after promotion. If you send copy paste emails to your subscribers then that’s another story and i can’t promise that you will get spam complaints and all that. Singles optin is the way to go because you don’t delay the buying process or the pre sale process and that’s why you will make more money with single optin. You reach more people and if you get a relationship with them with good content, like podcasts and videos of yourself in the camera or screen flow videos you are good to go.
5. Creating A Soap Opear Sequence in Your Autoresponders.Nobody talks about this and it’s a Valuable form of communication that shares a story and you don’t give the story all in one swoop. You give it like in 3 or more messages to your subscribers so that they can get excited and grasp the specific part of the story at a time. Just like a good Episode of 24 or Lost the have Cliff Hangers that get you excited and thinking for what’s next.Also stories are critical to creating a relationship with your list and selling to them. You don’t own your Facebook Page, or Your Twitter Account. They can shut you down any minute and you are sure your blog it’s you home.Get an editorial calendar setup for your blog. Schedule what topic your are going to talk about on your blog and at what date.The Hour of Content Creation and Posting.Get Organized and this Blogging thing will not be difficult.If you don’t want to write get someone to contribute to your blog, or syndicate their existing content. If you do not know how to build an email list effectively, you will never be able to maximize your profit potential.  If you don’t go about it in the right way, you could end up driving people away instead of generating more interest in your business.  You have to have just the right approach with people in order to get them to trust you enough to provide you with their contact information.

It would be fairly simple to collect a list of random emails, and you could probably get a lot of them really fast without too much trouble.  However, that won’t do you any good, as you need to have all the right people on your list in order to make any money.  Your list is only going to work for you if you have taken the time to reach your target audience of people who are actually going to be interested in what it is that you are offering.

The purpose for having an email list in the first place is so that you will be able to reach the right people.  If you are continuously sending emails to random people, they probably won’t ever even open up your messages.  Plus, all of the time and energy that you spend promoting to them will be wasted, because they are not even interested.  You could have been spending all of that time promoting to people who actually want to buy what you are selling.

If you want to know how to build an email list that is going to make you money, it’s all about building a relationship with your customers and getting them to trust you.  When people voluntarily sign up to receive emails from you, they are basically giving you permission to send them emails promoting your products or services.  The only reason why they would ever do this is if they have an actual interest in your business.

Once people actually land on your website, they need to find content there that is unique, relevant and useful.  You want to provide people with material that they are actual going to enjoy reading.  Plus, once you have successfully figured out how to get people’s interest and retain it, you will no longer need any advice on list building.  Once you have managed to get a list of targeted individuals that are interested in your business, the only thing left to do is to continue providing them with content that is relevant and interesting.

Andre it’s the creator of Autoresponder Madness and he discovered a
certain way to do email promotions that raked the big bucks.

But Andre has a friend, his name is Mark.

But…

What Mark did was completely insane!

Rewind back to 2007…

– IN THE UK –

Whilst visiting his buddy in 2007 he witnessed a
life changing event…

He watched his buddy (Andre) rake in a cool $29K (and
some change) in a day!

• Hired a removal company to move his stuff, then
  got his wife and kids (Megan 2, Declan 7) and
  drove them across the channel to Spain!

Just like that, from seeing his friend in February
to moving across to Spain in October.

Personally, I rate it 12/10 for crazy!

Come on, who in their right mind is going to do
that?

– IN SPAIN –

So now the guy is in a foreign country with no
experience of Internet Marketing – nothing, or
as the Spanish say: “NADA”.

All he had was the dough he made from the sale
of his house. That’s it – no other income at all.

He hadn’t done a single thing online, he didn’t
know about Dreamweaver, WordPress, Pay Per Click
(PPC Google AdWords), SEO – NADA.

Talk about having big “kahunas”!

After a month or so of having a good time (hey,
wouldn’t you with a massive wad of cash at hand

and listen…

He introduced him to the “basics” – only ClickBank
and Google AdWords.

His task was simple; to select a few products that
matched a specific criteria they had discussed and
choose one.

A few days past…

.

After a lot of “umming and aaring” Mark finally
made a decision.

REMEMBER: Mark had NEVER created a website before.

So a few more days passed before he got around to
putting up a basic presell page (there’s a learning
curve in anything).

The BIG STEP…

If you’ve ever done any PPC then you know it’s
a bloody scary ordeal!

Nothing’s worse than watching your hard earned
cash disappear into cyberspace only to line
the big “G’s” pockets (at least at Vegas you have
some fun before you lose it)!

But Mark took the bull by the horns, and did it.

– November 22nd, 2007 –

He went “live”.

Nervously he watched his AdWords account incur
clicks, and the dreaded associated costs…

$10… gone

$20… gone

$30… gone

Hold it!

Logging into his ClickBank account he saw something
that made him more excited than seeing Megan Fox
in lingerie! (IMO)

There were sales, not only 1, but 2… then 3, 4, 5…

You get the picture.

Mark was onto a winner straight out the gate!
(BTW: that’s the exception, NOT the rule).

– 2008 –

Mark was coining in the cash as if he had won the
jackpot on the fruit machine.

But then something happened, and it all crashed
and burned into a ball of flames!

Google shot him down. Google decided to change
the rules overnight and he wasn’t allowed to
promote that product on their search network.

Mark had lost his only source of income!

The Struggle

For several months he struggled and was almost
bankrupt.

Everything he tried failed. It was as if he was
jinxed. He had burned through a ton of cash by
creating “lazy” offers in desperation.

Mark was working 16 hour days. He was stuck on
a hamster wheel spinning around aimlessly.

He couldn’t just go out and get a job, hell no,
he couldn’t even speak the language!

And that’s when the penny dropped…

LONG TERM

Mark had to create a long term strategy. He had to
stop skipping from offer to offer and build a real
‘business’.

He realized it needed to be taken seriously.

He took a week off, sat down, weeded out all the
crap and implemented what he thought made sense.

His mindset had changed from the “quick fix” to

Quickly he started achieving consistent and
